Patmos Beaches
KAMPOS BEACH
Kampos is a fully organized beach with small pebbles which is located in the northeastern part of the island in a distance of 4.5 km from Skala.
AGRIO LIVADI
Agrio Livadi beach is on the way to Kampos, 3.5 km from the port, opposite to Agia Thekla islet. Agrio Livadi is a beach with sand and pebbles, organized with sunbeds, watersports etc.
AGIOS THEOLOGOS
Agios Theologos beach is located in Skala and can be accessible from the port on foot. It is sandy with small pebbles, trees and shade. Even though it is not organized, there are a lot of cafeterias and restaurants close by.
ALIKES
Alikes beach, which used to be a place where the monks were collecting salt, is located in Stavros bay, 7 km in the south of Chora. It is sandy with shallow waters and a tavern.
ASPRI
Aspri beach is located in Skala, in a quiet bay with a tavern to accommodate visitors.
VAGIA BEACH
Vagia is a beach with pebbles, trees, shade and cold waters 7 km northeast of Skala. It is not organized however there is one cafeteria up the hill. The use of a vehicle is advised since the closest bus stop is 1 km away.
GRIKOS
The beach is located in Grikos bay, 4.5 km from Skala. It is sandy, with trees and shade. Restaurants, cafeterias, rooms to let etc, can be found in Grikos village that surrounds it. It is accessible by bus.
DIAKOFTI
Diakofti beach is located in the narrowest part of Patmos southeast of Skala past the Rock of Kallikatsou. It is a pebble beach and even though it is not organized, there is a restaurant in a shipyard’s premises close by.
PSILI AMMOS
Psili ammos beach can be accessed through either a 30 min walk on a footpath from Diakofti beach, or a 50 min boat trip from Skala. It is a sandy beach, with trees and a restaurant. It offers access to the beach Mikri Psili Ammos.
LAMPI BEACH
Lampi beach is located in the northern part of the island and is accessible through either a 25 min walk from Kampos beach or a 1 hour boat trip from Skala weather permitted. It is a large beach with trees and shade, colorful pebbles and a restaurant.
LEUKES BEACH
Leukes beach is located in the western part of the island and access includes part of gravel road. It is a quiet beach usually with wavy waters due to its location.
LIGGINOU/DIDIMES
Didimes beaches (Greek for “twins”) are located the one next to the other near Vagia beach. They are small pebble beaches accessible through a 15 min walk.
MELOI BEACH
Meloi is a sandy beach with trees and shade, which is located 1.5 km north of Skala. It includes a restaurant, rooms to let and a camping.
PETRA (KALLIKATSOU)
Petra is located 5 km south of Skala. It is a pebble beach organized with sunbeds, umbrellas and a canteen.
SAPSILA
Sapsila beach is on the way to Grikos 1.5 km from Skala. It is a small, quiet, sandy beach with warm waters. Since it is located in Sapsila village, there are a lot of services such as restaurants and cafeterias close by.
LIVADI KALOGIRON
Livadi Kalogiron is a quiet beach in the northern part of the Patmos which has a view to Samos island. It is a pebble beach with a canteen.
LIVADI GERANOU
It is locate in the eastern part of the island, 12 km from Skala, half an hour walk from the closest bus stop. It is a pebble beach with calm waters, trees and a tavern.
